bridal stylist + designer
My love for bridal began when I worked as a stylist at a small bridal boutique in Brisbane. Before I knew it, I was promoted to the role of 2IC. I fell in love with the dresses, the atmosphere, the people, and the overall experience. I shared in the excitement and challenges as brides searched for their perfect outfits.
At one point, I started noticing that a lot of what was out there looked similar from one store to the next, with slight variations. The lack of diversity made it tougher for some brides to find an outfit they felt themselves in. Looking back on my own dress-shopping experience, I remember feeling out of place, underdressed, and underwhelmed with what was available. I ended up choosing a dress that was okay—not exactly my style—but I was so ready to be done with the whole process, and it was the best option out of everything I tried on.
Drawing on my personal and professional experiences, as well as my creativity and business know-how, The Laid Back Bride was conceptualised in 2019, officially launching in February 2021. To be a trusted partner in the industry, prioritising service over sales, a label that connects with people, and a place where you can feel right at home, and know you're in great hands.
"I would have to say the best part of my job is sharing and experiencing the excitement and joy when a bride-to-be finds her perfect design. It is one of the most rewarding feelings and is why I love what I do. I take great pride in providing positive and happy experiences for each and every bride that chooses to shop with us" - Aleena
