My love for bridal started in a pretty unexpected way. A friend told me about a job at the bridal store where she worked and suggested I go in for a chat. I remember thinking, Me? In sales? Ha, no way. But I quickly realised it was so much more than just selling — it was about people. Listening, guiding, connecting — that part came naturally.

Before long, I was promoted to 2IC and completely fell for the world of bridal: the dresses, the energy, the amazing women I got to meet, and the emotional rollercoaster of finding the one.

But I also saw the same story on repeat — brides looking for something different, leaving disappointed because everything felt the same. I could relate. When I was looking for my own dress, I felt underwhelmed, underdressed, and completely out of place. I settled on something that was... nice. Not really me, but it felt like the best option at the time. And honestly? I just wanted it done.

That experience — and the countless chats I had with brides who felt the same — stuck with me.

After over a year of planning, I launched The Laid Back Bride in February 2021 with one goal: to do bridal differently.

What started as a home-based bridal studio has grown into our dream space in Redcliffe, on the Moreton Bay Peninsula just north of Brisbane.

It’s still just me here — owner, stylist, and everything in between. I’ve created a space that feels like shopping with a friend — somewhere you can be yourself, explore your bridal style, have fun, and feel supported while doing it.

No pressure. No pushy sales tactics. Just good vibes, honest advice, and a genuine desire to help you find your dress.
