Welcome to The Laid Back Bride! We’re all about making bridal shopping a fun, easy, and stress-free experience. By using our site (tlbbride.com), booking an appointment, or purchasing from us, you’re agreeing to the terms below — they help protect both you and us, so we can keep things running smoothly.

1 – General Terms

By using this website, you confirm that you’re at least 18 years old or have a parent’s/guardian’s permission. Please don’t use our site for anything illegal or unauthorised. If you break these terms, we may have to cancel your order or restrict access.

2 – Appointments & Bookings

We offer bridal appointments in person and virtually.
  • In-person appointments carry a $30 booking fee, which is payable at the time of booking and non-refundable. However, this fee can be credited towards the purchase of any design.

  • Virtual consultations are free of charge and are a great option if you're shopping from a distance or just starting your bridal journey.

Please arrive on time (or log in on time!) and provide accurate contact information so we can keep things running smoothly. We reserve the right to reschedule if needed — but we’ll always do our best to give you a heads-up.

3 – Made-to-Order Products & Deposits

The garments we carry are crafted by hand and made-to-order especially for you.
  • A 50% deposit is required at the time of purchase, with the remaining 50% due at pickup or when your gown is ready to be shipped.

  • If you prefer to pay in full upfront, you’ll receive a $100 discount.

Because these gowns are made just for you, all sales are final and non-refundable unless the item is deemed faulty under Australian Consumer Law. We do not offer refunds for change-of-mind, incorrect sizing etc.

Please double-check your measurements and reach out if you’re unsure before placing your order.

Cancellations:

  • Orders for custom sizes and custom designs are non-cancellable and non-refundable under any circumstances, unless faulty.

  • For standard made-to-order gowns, cancellations are only permitted before your gown has been shipped or picked up. If cancelled, your 50% deposit will be forfeited.

  • If you’ve paid in full, you’ll receive a 50% refund (less any non-refundable transaction fees).

4 – Products

We do our best to show accurate colours, descriptions, and sizing online, but screens can vary. If something seems unclear, ask us before ordering — we’re happy to help.

Some products may be in limited supply or exclusive to our boutique. We reserve the right to update prices, product info, or availability at any time.

5 – Returns & Exchanges

The garments we carry are crafted by hand and made-to-order especially for you. As such, we do not accept refunds or returns for change-of-mind. All sales are final unless the item is deemed faulty under Australian Consumer Law.

Sample sale garments are sold as-is and may show minor signs of wear due to being tried on in our studio. These items are heavily reduced and final sale — we do not accept returns or refunds on sample sale purchases.

We recommend reviewing the product description carefully and contacting us with any questions before purchasing. Additional photos and fit guidance are available upon request.

Faulty or Damaged Items:

If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 72 hours of delivery at letstalkbridal@tlbbride.com with clear photos of the issue. We’ll organise a repair, replacement, or refund depending on the nature of the fault and timing of your request — for example, whether there is sufficient time before your wedding to complete a repair or replacement. Reports made outside this timeframe will be assessed at our discretion in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Faults refer to manufacturing defects or damage incurred prior to or during delivery. This does not include issues resulting from wear, improper handling, or alterations after delivery.

International customers: Please inspect your item promptly upon arrival. As we receive delivery confirmations via tracking, the 72-hour window begins once your parcel is marked as delivered. This allows ample time to open and check your gown for any issues.

If a refund is approved, it will be processed to your original payment method, minus any non-refundable payment processing fees.

6 – Shipping

We ship worldwide so that brides everywhere can access our curated collection.
All orders are insured in transit for up to $1,500 AUD. If your order exceeds this value and you’d like full coverage, please contact us before shipping and we’ll provide a quote for additional insurance.
  • Shipping rates are calculated at checkout.

  • Delivery timeframes vary depending on location and designer. 

  • Estimated delivery timeframes are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Delays due to suppliers, shipping providers, or customs are outside our control.
  • International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees. These are imposed by your country’s customs office and are not included in our pricing.

  • Refusal to pay these fees does not entitle you to a refund.

Once your order leaves us, delays from postal or courier services are out of our hands — but we’ll always help you track it down if needed.

7 – Third-Party Services

Sometimes we use tools or apps from third-party providers (like booking apps or payment gateways). These services have their own terms, so make sure you’re comfortable with those too. If you leave our site through a third-party link, we’re not responsible for what happens on their end.

8 – User Conduct

Please don’t use our site in any way that’s unlawful, offensive, or abusive. We want this to be a safe, positive space for all.

9 – Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, The Laid Back Bride will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or services. This includes delays, loss of income, or disappointment due to shipping disruptions or changes in wedding plans.

10 – Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to fulfil obligations due to events beyond our control (e.g. natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemic-related disruptions, or courier strikes).

11 – Digital Communication Consent

By interacting with our website or making a purchase, you consent to receive transactional emails and updates regarding your order. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

12 – Privacy

We take your privacy seriously. Please refer to our full Privacy Policy to understand how your personal information is collected, used, and protected.

13 – Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time, so it’s a good idea to check back occasionally. If anything major changes, we’ll do our best to notify you on the website or by email.

14 – Definitions

  • Made-to-order: Garments created specifically for the customer after an order is placed.

  • Custom design: A gown that includes customisations to an existing style based on customer requests and/or a one-of-a-kind gown created from scratch.

  • Custom size: A gown made using measurements outside of standard sizing charts.

  • Faulty: A manufacturing defect or damage incurred before or during delivery that makes the item not fit for purpose.

  • Goodwill refund: A refund offered voluntarily outside of legal obligation.
